Wild Detectives: Pond Dipping with Kids

Follow us during a day of nature education for children as they become Wild Detectives for a day at our Forest School. In this first video we take the children pond dipping to learn about freshwater habitats and the species that live there. Newts, frogs, dragonflies and fish were all on our 'most wanted' list. The kids had a great time.
This activity makes a great session for Key Stage 1 & 2 school children and we often work with school groups delivering outdoor education on a range of topics. If you'd like to get in touch with us to find out how we can rewild your school curriculum then please get in touch.

Thanks to our Wild Detectives for being YouTube stars for the day. Thanks also to their families for letting us film them.
In Part 2 of this series we will take the children on the hunt for wild animal tracks and we will also dissect owl pellets.
